DC Theatre Scene (Four stars):

"I had a marvelous evening. This is due in large part to the wildly talented cast, who almost universally nailed both their scripted scenes and 2+ hours’ worth of improvised interaction...

The Whittemore House proved to be the ideal venue for this performance, offering three levels of indoor and outdoor space for the cast and audience to play with... Despite the mansion’s sprawling nature, the cast managed to create small moments of genuine intimacy and delight...

Many theatre companies have mission statements that include nods to breaking down the fourth wall and inviting the audience to participate in the creation of the work, but few have made good on this promise to such a high degree. With Ouroboros, TBD Immersive has created an event that is impressive in both its scope and its nuance, and in doing so, has filled a vital niche in the DC area theatre landscape. I, for one, am excited to see where they lead audiences next."

DC Metro Theatre Arts:

"Ouroboros: Dawn of the Cabaret, is an exhilarating experience, with a cast of full and fascinating characters.

Think improv theater, with controlled audience participation on steroids with no stage and the audience interacts in the scene with little limitation. The actors must be prepared to react to any question or comment that pops into each individual’s head, unlike the standard interactive books and video games that are limited by pre-determined questions or actions. The complexity of maintaining this level of live-adventure storytelling, with so many unpredictable moving parts, is mind-boggling but the TBD cast enacts it with seeming ease.

The evening was unlike anything I have ever experienced and I enjoyed every character I encountered,

We had an absolute blast. The performers were unflinchingly invested in the story and the audience members were excitedly flitting from room to room, trying to unfold their story."

Brightest Young Things:

"TBD Immersive theatre’s Ouroboros: Dawn of the Cabaret is a lively participatory production full of intriguing characters, activities, and even a small “revolution” that all patrons may join. It’s Clue meets the circus via theatre. It’s a bit like a novel, because you get more time with characters who might otherwise get one line in an entire play. I had a blast... A wild night."
